The World Football governing body, FIFA, has saluted the Super Falcons following their impressive performance at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The Super Falcons didn’t lose a match in the regulation despite bowing out of the competition at the Round of 16 stage.

Randy Waldrum’s side lost 4-2 on penalties to European champions England after 0-0 scoreline in 120 minutes.

The nine-time African champions held Olympic champions Canada to a barren draw and defeated co-hosts Australia at the group stage.

“NGA left their mark on #FIFAWWC 2023,” reads a tweet on FIFA’s official Twitter handle.

England and Spain will clash in the final of the competition on Sunday
